Check out the pictures on our Fourth of July Picnic here. Militia of Washington Washington County, Arkansas (MOWCA) was on the front page on Sunday paper of one largest newspaper in Northwest Arkansas on 19 March 2006. We have send link of this story to so-called major Second Amendment Rights organizations.I am still waiting for their reply. The only Second Amendment right organization ever back us up is Armed Females of America. We did what the so-called major Second Amendment Rights organizations will not do. MOWCA got the full Second Amendment Rights back for the people of the State of Arkansas. The man holding a rebuilt fully automatic belt fed .308 Browning 1919 A4 on the left side of the picture below is Lt. Commander Wayne Fincher. Founded July 4th, 1994, the Militia struggled for its first five years just to find a place to meet each week. Everyone predicted its downfall. Today, the Headquarters Building stands as testimony to the dedication and perseverance of patriots who will never give up. Following Oklahoma City, the Militia was falsely demonized and branded as "racist", "terrorist", "right-wing", a bunch of "gun nuts", etc. etc. Still today, in spite of its ten year struggle to uphold the rights and liberties of all Americans, there are those who have a totally false picture of the Militia due to the propaganda they see and hear on the TV and other media. The false characterization of the Militia as "racist" is still being repeated today by certain local columnists and reporters. Apparently, they cannot read or hear, as our documents and policies have been widely promulgated for years, and talked about regularly on local radio talk shows. The sad reality is that some people just don't want to find out or admit the truth as it would upset their own agendas and lifestyle. The Militia of Washington County challenges ANYONE to come forward with ANY evidence of "racism" in its official policies or statements. They will not be able to do it without lying, because such evidence is not there. Instead, on the front page of our web site you will find "All defenders of liberty welcome, regardless of race." Is that plain enough for you? Probably not, since you can't understand the plain language of the Second Amendment, either, or do the honest historical research to determine "original intent". Some things NEVER change. So, the Militia of Washington County, after twelve years, is still at its post, and will continue to fight for the rights of ALL Americans, even those who continue to spread lies about us and seek our destruction. Maybe their grandchildren will thank us...
Spring Muster & Picnic, April 17th, 2004 - Mug shots and story by Vance Beaudreau.
"The 17th Amendment...is the provision that provides for popular election of senators. Few people today know that the Founding Fathers never intended for senators to be popularly elected. The Constitution originally provided that senators would be chosen by state legislatures. . . . The 17th Amendment was ratified in 1913. It is no coincidence that the sharp rise in the size and power of the federal government starts in this year." - Columnist Bruce Bartlett |
